PRIMARY CARE - Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Medicine
Medical Assistant ADULT MEDICINE - P/T (20 hrs) - Under the direction of a Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse, the medical assistant provides direct patient care and assists other healthcare professionals in examining and treating patients. At least one year in ambulatory or outpatient setting is desirable. Recent Medical Assisting Certificate and current CPR certification a must.
OB/GYN & FAMILY PLANNING
RN Charge Nurse OB/GYN - F/T - Reporting to the department Nurse Manager, seeking an experienced RN who will maintain the standards of Nursing Care and Practice for the OB/GYN department. Assumes Charge Nurse responsibility to manage daily scheduling and operations in the department, manage patient access in terms of appointment scheduling and ensure efficient patient flow throughout the department, and act as a resource to staff Nurses and Medical Assistants.
Acts as patient advocate in attaining needed services and in searching for other services, example: referrals, VNA, etc. Plans and implements Childbirth Education Classes in conjunction with the Department Nurse Manager. Supervises and assists in evaluating the Nurses and unlicensed personnel as well as delegate tasks. Translates the Mission, Nursing Philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures, and expectations of LCHC. Assists in the development of programs for staff professional growth as well as the development of programs for patient health promotion and self-care.
Management skills in planning, organizing, and directing activities of others. Skills in motivating individuals and developing group cohesiveness. Skills in supervising, coaching, teaching, and mentoring staff. Skills in decision-making and problem solving. The position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in constrained time frames and distracting environments.
Graduate of NLN accredited school with a major in nursing. Current Massachusetts RN license/CPR. A minimum of three- (3) year’s clinical experience in Ambulatory Community Health, Obstetrics, Labor and Delivery or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Computer skills or ability to learn computer applications is necessary.
Staff Nurse FAMILY PLANNING - Per Diem - The staff nurse provides care to patients under the direction of a nurse practitioner or physician. The nurse is clinically competent in the standards of women’s reproductive health and possesses excellent patient and customer service skills. The nurse collaborates with other disciplines to ensure an integrated approach to patient care. The nurse is accountable to the patient, family, peers, and nurse manager for the totality of work performance. At least one-year experience in an outpatient setting is desirable, with a focus on women’s reproductive health. Current license as a professional nurse in the state of Massachusetts. Current CPR certification.
