Multicultural Connections for Health (MCCH) is a federally funded program that can help survivors of torture from Africa, Cambodia, or Laos to overcome their past experiences and assist them in building healthier and happier futures in the United States. MCCH is funded by the United Nations Fund for Victims of Torture.
Multicultural Connections for Health - The Multicultural Connections for Health Program (MCCH), funded by the United Nations, offers multi-disciplinary services to survivors of torture. The overall goal of the Multicultural Connections for Health Program is to improve the ability of survivors of torture to be fully functioning members of society through the provision of services for Southeast Asians and the development and provision of services to African victims of torture. The MCCH program provides a comprehensive array of culturally specific services including primary care, behavioral health services, community and home outreach and education, referrals, legal services and youth development activities. The program serves primary and secondary victims of torture in partnership with local community based agencies which include:
