Receptionist - F/T - As the first interface with patients, candidate must present excellent customer service with warmth and courtesy. This position is a key to good public relations for Lowell Community Health Center - Metta Health Center and for accurate collection of demographic data for billing purposes. Must be flexible and a team player. Computer skills and knowledge of computer applications and programs necessary. Must have completed a medical interpreter training program. Experience in medical translation a plus. Bilingual in English/Khmer and some evening hour is required.
Patient Service Center
Referrals Specialist- P/T (20 hrs) - The Referral Specialist will be part of the Central Referrals department within the Patient Service Center, and will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing referrals. Responsible for scheduling specialty appointments for health center patients and informing patients of date, time and location of appointments. Respond to inquiries from patients, staff, internal and external physicians, hospitals, other medical groups and third party carriers. Maintain data and referral tracking system. Work collaboratively with other members of the health care team in order to provide superior patient care delivery. Provides overall excellent customer service. Bi-lingual in Spanish or Khmer preferred. Strong Medical Terminology knowledge and experience required. A high school diploma, or equivalent is required; 1 year of administrative experience in a health center of hospital setting preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills required. Strong attention to detail, flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.
