Spanish, Portuguese and Khmer are spoken by many Health Center staff throughout our different locations. LCHC staff are fluent in more than 18 languages. In addition, interpreter services can be arranged for the languages our doctors and medical translators do not speak.

Prenatal Services - We are happy to offer Certified Nurse Midwives, Obstetricians and Family Medicine Physicians as choices for your prenatal care. Care includes prenatal and postpartum services at Lowell Community Health Center and delivery at Lowell General Hospital. Prenatal Services is also a WIC site. Eligible pregnant women can receive their initial WIC checks at the clinic.

Patients may choose an Obstetrician or Certified Nurse Midwife for their care during their pregnancy. Certified Nurse Midwives provide care that focuses on the specific needs of women, that offers a variety of options, and that minimizes unnecessary intervention. The individuals who hold the title of Certified Nurse Midwife are highly educated professionals who work collaboratively with physicians.

Women's Services - We provide quality, affordable and confidential reproductive health care services for adult and adolescent women and their partners. Teens receive confidential services, and parental consent is not needed. A board-certified OB-GYN physician, Family Nurse Practitioners, and Healt h Educators are all part of our staff. Our services include; gynecological exams, birth control services, testing and treatment of STD's (sexually transmitted infections), HIV counseling and testing, testing and treatment of urinary tract infections, colposcopy, breast exams, and HRT (hormone replacement therapy).
