SAVE THE DATE: Celebrating 22 Years of “Loving Kindness”
We are excited to invite you to a very special celebration of our Metta Health Center for immigrant and refugee health.
Special tribute honoring Metta’s founders | Food and entertainment inspired by our global community
Wednesday, June 8th | Community Reception | 6:00 — 8:00
“Working at Metta you must have Metta. Without Metta, we only have a program. Metta comes from our hearts.” -Sidney Liang, Metta Director
Since 2000, Lowell Community Health Center has been an open door for those planting new roots in the Merrimack Valley through our nationally recognized Metta Health Center. At Metta, our team of providers, certified medical interpreters, community health workers, and behavioral health clinicians provide caring, culturally rooted care, regardless of ability to pay. Metta is a Buddhist word meaning “loving kindness.” Although Metta was founded primarily to care for Lowell’s Cambodian community, it has grown to embrace other new neighbors from around the Globe.
Additional information and tickets available soon.
For the health and comfort of our community, we ask that all attendees wear masks. We will have extra masks available for those who need one. There will be ample space for social distancing during the reception. Guests will be welcome to enjoy festive treats during the event, or take home for later, depending on comfort level.
