Please join us for the first installment in our Lowell CHC film series, exploring the intersection between health, equity, and justice. Our first film, A Place to Breathe, is an award-winning feature length documentary by Michelle Grace Steinberg and Robyn Bykofsky that spotlights our Metta Health Center for Immigrant and Refugee Health, plus many other Lowell places and faces. The film explores the universality of trauma and resilience through the eyes of immigrant and refugee healthcare practitioners and patients.
The evening will include a screening of the film (86 minutes), followed by a panel discussion with experts serving the local immigrant and refugee community, plus those involved with the film itself. Light refreshments will be available throughout.
