BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), University of Massachusetts Lowell

MSN-FNP (Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner), Rivier University, Nashua, NH

A Family Nurse Practitioner in the Metta Health Center, Ruth’s nursing journey began at 19, when she began working at the Metta Health Center while earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Massachusetts Lowell, graduating with high honors. She spent the next ten years caring for acutely ill patients in their homes as a visiting nurse for Circle Health Visiting Nurse Association. She returned to the Metta Health Center after earning a Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Rivier University, once again graduating with high honors. As a first-generation American born to immigrant parents, and fluent in English and Khmer, Ruth feels connected and culturally sensitive working with diverse populations.

Ruth is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a family nurse practitioner. She enjoys spending quality time with her friends, family, and three beautiful girls, as well as reading, decorating, and cycling classes. She is a “foodie” who loves trying new foods and learning about food culture and history. Her dream is to one day take a trip with her daughters volunteering in medical abroad programs.
