Partnerships are critical for caring for our community; so working with regional advisory boards, outreach educators and other constituencies is a central part of what we do. As part of that, we look to represent and work with the diverse groups from areas around the region where we, or those we train, work.
CHEC specializes in providing cross–training, education and professional development opportunities for community health workers. As adult learners, participants are engaged in various learning tracks to acquire or broaden their scope of knowledge, skills and cultural competence. We offer a comprehensive certificate program, community health education, health modules, seminars and workshops. Participants exchange respective information while connecting with other community resources, learn more about current public health issues and establish peer support.
