Lowell Community Health Center acknowledges historical relationship to Lowell mills, slavery

“LOWELL — On Thursday, Lowell Community Health Center celebrated Juneteenth by unveiling a new panel to its first-floor timeline. Lowell City Council Declares Racism Is A Public Health Crisis

On Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, the Lowell City Council voted unanimously to declare that Racism is a Public Health Crisis following testimony including by Lowell Community Health Center CEO Susan West Levine, a number of community organizations, and citizens who supported this declaration. We applaud this vote by the City Council, and the investments in four key areas — public health, education & training, socioeconomic equity, and generational wealth-building opportunities — being made as part of this declaration.
